Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW): President is Eugene Laux, Phone 588-4465. The purpose of the VFW is to honor the dead by helping the living. Membership is open to U.S. Armed Forces Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary: President is Mary Lee, Phone 224-9427. The purpose of the VFW Aux. is to honor the dead by helping the living. Membership is open to wives, daughters, granddaughters, stepdaughters, sisters, and mothers of Veterans of Foreign Wars.  Chamber of Commerce: President is Jim Rakers, 224-9329.  The purpose of this organization is to develop, encourage and promote the civic, economic, industrial, commercial and agricultural interest of Trenton and vicinity, and to advance the general welfare and prosperity to the Trenton area and its citizens.

Garden Club President:  Eva Missey 644-5880

Nut House Club: President is Rick Kloos, Phone 224-9431. Promote civic activity and support youth programs (Easter Egg Hunt, Santa Claus, etc.) in the city of Trenton and maintain the Nut House Park at the corner of Washington and Illinois Streets in Trenton.

The Western Clinton County Optimist Club.  The Optimist Club has open membership and is always looking for enthusiastic, energetic new members.  Scheduled activities include monthly Youth Dances at the Trenton VFW along with other youth events.   Contact Jay Hilmes for more information 224-7017.

Sportsman's Club: 14919 Sportsman Road, Trenton IL 62293, Phone 224-9489. Ron Albers is the President, Home Phone 224-7100. The Sportsman's Club has open membership by sponsorship with current membership in excess of 200. Scheduled Activities: Kid's Fishing Derby, 3D Bow Shoots, Horseshoe Tournament and Annual Picnic, Trap Shoot, Cub Scout Fishing Derby, Hunter Safety Course.

Trenton Nutrition Center serves Mid-day meals to seniors aged 60 and older five days a week (Mon-Fri). Reservations call 224-9913 before 9:00a.m. Suggested donations are $3.00 per meal for seniors. The Illinois Department on Aging and the Federal Government subsidizes the cost of operating the Trenton Nutrition Center.

Women's Club: Co-Presidents to Kathy Kerksick 934-5868 and Evelyn Kuhn 224-7535. The Women's Club objective shall be intellectual and civic improvement, social enjoyment and united effort for the welfare of our community. Membership is open to the women of Trenton. Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month.

American Legion Stahl Post 778: The Commander of Post 778 is Jay Hilmes, Phone 224-7017. Congress chartered the American Legion in 1919 as a patriotic, mutual help, and wartime veteran's organization. The American Legion is now a community-service organization, which now includes nearly 3 million members. The Trenton Post 778 sponsors the Trenton Senior and Junior American Legion Baseball Teams. The home field is in the Trenton Park right next to the VFW Building.

Clinton County Women's Book club is celebrating its second anniversary this fall and would like to welcome readers to join us.  We meet monthly on the Third Tuesday of the month at P'J''s  Restaurant in Breese starting at 7:00 p.m and we choose a book each month to read and discuss. For Youth:
Sugarcreek 4-H Country Kids usually meet the first Sunday afternoon of each month.  New members are always welcome!  Kids ages 8 - 18 are eligible to join.  4-H members meet new friends while learning from over 200 project areas and having fun!  Something for everyone!  Fun for the whole family!  If someone wants more information, they can call Janice Huelsmann at 224-9397 or Tracy Harpstrite-Grayling at 224-7785
